The romantic myth formulated by Rousseau is that we are alienated from our true nature by the chains of modern society. "Paradoxically, the individual can only be truly free once the needs of society as a whole are met." This would include death for those who oppose the goal. So it is always humorous to hear those crying white privilege/oppressor narratives when their rhetoric and logic literally comes from dead old white men.
Excellent explanation of communism Adam. And just to think that when we "won" the Cold War everyone thought that communism was dead and buried. How foolish we were. What I find shocking is how stupid communists are...history is replete with examples that the old adage about socialism from Churchill remains true today...“Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.” “The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings. The inherent virtue of Socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.” Socialism and communism are merely different sides to the same coin. Both are authoritarian in that they tell people what to do and how to live their lives, down to the most minute detail. Sounds an awful like the democrats, doesn't it?
