Dalilah was 5-years-old when an illegal immigrant truck driver crashed into her car, almost taking her life. Her father, Marcus, is on a mission to get legislators to pass "Dalilah's Law"
That he could forgive is something only a truly exceptional human can do. I know someone whose young relative had her skull severed from her spine (internal decapitation) due to an illegal alien who was drunk running a stop light. There is no insurance, so the young relative's family will have to pull together to pay for her care. Californians were sold the story that we need to provide illegals with a driver's license because they could then get insurance. I don't think anyone assumed that this would jump to transportation trucks. Cars are dangerous enough in the wrong hands. Trucks are unthinkable. But I think the danger is even more widespread. Our family has had three (minor) rear ends in the past two years. No one had insurance. Humans signal to each other, and I fear the signal is the degradation of the responsibilities associated with driving. I see young and old fly through a stop sign near our house. Expensive cars, cheap cars - all the same. Five years ago, construction and gardening crews would always be responsible drivers. I assume with logos on the side of their trucks, they wanted a good image - now it seems they don't care.
I am asking around about funding documentaries such as yours. I will circle back if I learn anything.
I can't imagine the pain of that father. And that he is at peace shows the power of faith.
Amen

What a nightmare. Poor family, I cannot imagine. I don't think I would be able to forgive the way Marcus did. I do hope his daughter recovers one day.
