Hullo, I'm here on Helen Dale's recommendation. Looked interesting.... then I find out she is recommending a ruddy CHELSEA FAN! :-) Greetings from Stockport about six miles from the Etihad; home of God's Own Football Team. Obviously. He saw to it that it threw it down; (Proper Manc weather!) you watched His Team; and you struck up that coversation that Red Pilled you. Not objectively true; but metaphorically true.

Have you ever heard the quote "And what should they know of England who only England know?" Substitute "the USA" for "England" and you have your journey; you had to stand outside your country to truly know it: the North, South, East, and West Wind roared to tell you so. Not me; very telescoped Kipling: "The English Flag" from the decade before we lost our way so catastrophically with Asquith's Liberals.

Now here we are again with history rhyming.
