Working On A New Video Project - Discussing Politics & Culture while Traveling
Traveling provided me an opportunity not just to see new places but to learn different perspectives and even moments with strangers turned into irreplaceable friendships.
I wanted to try & bring this experience of casual conversation and growth to video.
I just returned from London meeting up with friends but also to begin filming a new project of mine.
The concept is casual conversations over food or drinks surrounding politics, culture & relationships. Basically, "breaking bread" with people to better understand each other.
I didn't want to interview people, I just wanted to talk to them. There is no script and I have no idea where our conversations could lead. I also wanted to talk to regular people and get their perspectives as well.
I wanted to have more of a "documentary" type of feel to it, with smooth imagery.
If this concept works, I'll be traveling a lot in the next 6 months, both internationally and domestically.
I think it's important to hear the viewpoints of people not just in your immediate area but beyond. Our country is far more diverse in opinions depending on where you're from than many understand and I want to highlight this as well.
So, the goal is to have a respectable vision for the pilot and improve the quality & approach moving forward. Hopefully, within the next couple of weeks, I can have something worthwhile to put out to the public.

Right on! A respectful free flow of thought is what people need to see.
I hope you weave “breaking bread” into the series name. Gave me instant warm fuzzies
