Thank you for your bold testimony of your coming to faith! Praise God that He called you and opened your eyes to His presence. I am encouraged by your steps of faith and look forward with you to how He will use you to witness to others.
Wonderful Adam! Suffering is a weird thing. It is a part of life. We can let it push us away from God, or closer to him. When we suffer, we can closely commune with Christ, who suffered unspeakable pain for us. Sometimes, the Lord is all we have. By cheerfully bearing suffering, we offer glory to God by humbling ourselves, because no one is above suffering. When God delivers us from suffering, we are reminded of His mercy. What you said about not worrying as much is spot on - I have been working for a year on surrendering worry to Christ, and it is life changing. God bless, Adam.
My faith has never wavered, but am still very much dubious of organized religion. Since John Paul II my Catholic Church cares about one thing: money. I finally broke ranks never to return during Scamdemic lockdowns.
As a fallen and trying to rise Catholic, I understand JP II and the rest of the hierarchy is not the church. Humans fail and fail miserably sometimes, but life keeps renewing.
Adam - Congratulations on your impending Baptism, as well as your eyes and heart being opened to God. Such things are indeed worthy of our gratefulness, thanks and praise to God for all He has done in your life. I am very happy for you.
Living the consequences Neo-Marxists/postmodernists desire to achieve with rationally constructed pathways to utopia can be overwhelming. Faith-based traditions created an anchor to steady in the choppy seas.
It's your emotional stability, your lack of self-pity, your focus on your family, your honesty and writing that is trying to lead us in a better direction that brings out the best in people. God works through people. Keep it up Adam!

You said people say they see God in you; I hear him in your words. I'm so grateful that you have the courage to speak out.
Thank you!

I agree with everything you said. Thank you and God bless you too!
My life verse is Romans 8:28. Sounds like it’s yours too.

I don't count the Church 'out', but serious restitution needs to happen.
