My son said I would like his ideas if I could get over my knee jerk reaction to the victimhood industry. In Frederick Douglass's autobiography, he writes of meeting up with either the daughter or granddaughter (can't remember) of his 'owner.' He then goes to the deathbed of this man. The dying man told him he would have done the same as Frederick (escaped from slavery.) Douglass reminds me of Victor Frankl. There is such noble strength in their willingness to forgive.
