A subgroup of the Democrats should be branded the Narcissism Party - dodging accountability, narrative control, denial, gaslighting etc. fits the bill.

Once again, you speak truth. My momma was one of those old democrats you describe. She would be so sad to see what has happened to the party she believed in her whole life. I pray more people awaken from the fog. Thank you, Adam, you and your work are appreciated.

Nice post! This is really a pretty simple situation to analyze. The current Dem party supports policies such as open borders, boys playing girls’ sports (and sharing their locker rooms), DEI, mandates on consumer choices (electric cars, electric stoves, etc). Most normal people view these positions/policies as repulsive 🤮 and they reject the party who supports such policies.

Until the few normals left in the Democratic Party remove those currently in power the Dems will continue to hemorrhage voters. Red pills 💊 are flying off the shelves in Democratic states. Get your popcorn 🍿 now, as this show will be running for a while…..

I wish I didn't have to write this. I wish I could write something more positive on the Democrats but they've chosen idiocy.

Not necessarily. If you didn’t vote for Trump, you most likely voted for Harris, so you qualify.

A number of year ago I read a piece by a self-described former leftist. One of his statements resonated with me and continues to do so. His comment was that when he was an active leftist, people were viewed as being in one of three categories- victim, victimizer or champion of the oppressed. Everyone was classified as a victim unless they were seen as a victimizer. And the only way that a victimizer could have achieved success was by victimizing others. The only exceptions were champions of the oppressed- people who had achieved success, but worked to help victims. As Mr. Coleman has pointed out, many of these "champions" were trust fund brats who deemed themselves superior to both "victims" and anyone who had worked for and earned success.

Of course, the help offered to "victims" was to make them more dependent on government and other handouts. That was their only choice because by their own definitions, to do otherwise, would have turned victims into victimizers.

The victim-victimizer-champion of the oppressed philosophy persists, now in a steroid-enhanced form, especially with regard to certain minority populations. (I will not use the term "people of color" because I see it as a racist term. Socio-economic issues may be more prevalent in certain populations, but the overriding factor is culture, not skin color. ) Democrats continue to view the world through a myopic, racist lens.

I have been a conservative for as long as I can remember. Unquestionably, bigotry and ignorance are not limited to Democrats. Yet, within Republican circles, I never hear race discussed as defining an individual or a group. Although there is recognition that some issues are more prevalent within certain populations, the prevailing view is that culture, not race is the determining factor.

Many Republicans deserve to be criticized. Only someone blind to reality (i.e most Democrats) would think otherwise. Having been a city council member for 12 years, and having worked with and for a number of state and federal candidates and elected officials, I've been involved in politics from a number of different positions. The Republicans I've worked with have, to the person, been concerned with passing legislation that is beneficial to the majority of the population. They also support reigning in government overreach.

I've also seen some Republicans who do little more than support their personal agenda, or are outright crooks. However, they are comparatively rare and usually shown the door.

You can dress it up as culture and not race, but the fact that lots of otherwise critical thinkers are convinced that “Muslim Rape Gangs” exist proves that xenophobia is as strong as ever in the right wing.

Well, I’m glad you write this, with passion and candor. The “elite” in what remains of the Democratic Party are mind-boggling, but if they gain power by taking these positions and (because of wealth and position) they never experience the consequences, why would they stop? But, it still can’t help but be astonished at their idiocy. Let’s hope that the Republican Party doesn’t respond in an equality idiotic way….unfortunately, humans inevitably seek power and when that goes too far, we “deplorables” bear the brunt of it. The pendulum inevitably swings too far….sorry to be pessimistic, but that’s what history seems to tell us.

Wow is right!! Adam, that was amazing. It’s the best description of the Democrat party that I’ve ever read. Brilliant writing. Bottom line is that the democrats are devoid of ideas, the things that pass for Democrat ideas are tired retreads or simply sheer lunacy, and they elevate unlikable people on a regular basis. Not only is that poor pathetic creature David Hogg unlikable, arrogant, condescending and insufferable, but he’s simply wrong on the issues. Well done. That’s a keeper.

Great post. A lot of people say that republicans and democrats "switched" after the Civil War - that yes, dems were pro-slavery but the people who belonged would now be republicans. I think that's, for the most part, bullshit, but now we do see that playing out. Under Bill Clinton, dems sold out and adopted the "corporate America" mantra with things like NAFTA which gutted American manufacturing. Republicans on the other hand, came around to the point that Dems, again for the most part, won the culture war. For the most part, being gay was accepted, minorities were being successful. Somewhere along the way though, the dems had to go all-in on the fringe - tranny - guy can *decide* to be a woman, abortion "at any time, without apology". And since they were still the party of Big Government, they wanted to use that power against anyone who disagreed. And I didn't even begin to get into the crimes they committed in the name of the China Virus.....
