I've been asking the same questions about this guy from day 1, nobody cared about him until he was gone & now everyone cares? The activists know it sells so they will keep running with this but it is nice to see someone call out his family.
Thanks for what you do, Adam! Standing for true-truth and real justice is difficult when you are in the midst of the battle, but it is those who stand up to be counted who go down in history as the heroes.
What Shelby Steele said at the end of "What Killed Michael Brown?" really says it about Jordan's male DNA supplier: ". . . We human beings never use race except as a means to power." Jordan Neely had no value to his father until he died. His father had only negative value to him when he was alive and has no value to him now. Yet, Jordan is now of great value to the wealth and power of his father.
The left's destruction of the nuclear family has led to a societal destruction as well. One that they want to fill with laws and government taking the place of parents and morals.
This is great Adam. Very insightful. I think his father is there now to profit from his son's death. He's got his hand out in the form of a lawsuit. I realize that's somewhat direct and harsh, but I'm persuaded by the evidence. Apparently he had little to do with his son for nearly the boy's entire sad life. And now, all of a sudden, he arrives at the perfect moment to file a lawsuit. Because of his son. Right. And I've got a bunch of land in Florida in a place called the Everglades to sell you. Sheesh, I can't believe anyone falls for such a pathetic fake act.
I love this line from your column: "Fathers are supposed to protect their children and guide them toward prosperity with love in mind, and that job doesn’t end when they turn 18." ...guide them toward prosperity with love in mind. What a great way to describe one of the cornerstone functions of a father, and what a great way to describe precisely what this father failed to do. In fact from what I understand are the facts, this father wasn't really ever a part of his son's life. And yet your admonishment, with it's roots clearly planted in the Christian view of fatherhood, is likely to be decried from all the leftist race baiters who think they know better.
There is no winner in the Daniel Penny situation. Neely was clearly a loser and so is Daniel Penny. He's alive and not in jail but is likely facing life changing 7 figure debt for his criminal defense and will add to that with additional legal debt in defending the aforementioned lawsuit from Neely's father and his craven attempt to make some quick cash off his son's tragic and unfortunate death. Neely is likely to accrue another 7 figure legal debt in the civil lawsuit.
I doubt anyone in NYC will ever step in to help someone else in a similar situation again lest they be put through the torture of the American legal system.
IMO it appears America isn't buying this BS the way they did in 2020 and the Floyd matter. The manipulation media doesn't even seem to be working hard to pimp this story. Where's Sharpton and Crump? Obviously no money to be made here or these 2 vultures would be in the mix. I've heard Penny's name more than Neely's. The weak attempt to blame this on everyone white is laughable, and to parade a deadbeat dad as a credible spokesperson for Neely is preposterous. With BLM's call for violence, (another irrelevant group) when will NYC begin to burn? How soon before we see murals of Neely or even statues of this man? The direction his life took and his ultimate demise are tragic and sad, but as you state, had Pops been involved, even just a tiny bit, perhaps the outcome is different.

Great essasy, Adam! Jordan Neley's father should look in the mirror!
Now, Mr. Coleman, if only people would LISTEN to your wise words!
One could hope
Responsiblity.....not blame.......accountability........not damnation
Neely’s father isn't serious. He failed his son
