I wish people would wake up and realize that liberals and progressives and whatever else they call themselves do not care about them at all. We’re seeing it in the so-called sanctuary cities where the poor and disadvantaged are being forced out in favor of illegal immigrants. The mayors of these cities can cry racism all they want, but the fact remains that people are starting to notice. Whether it makes a difference at the ballot box remains to be seen.

For how long do we stand back and watch our elite class fail? What is the breaking point? Are we close? I’d have zero issues with progressive policies if they worked - but they don’t and the evidence is all around us. Worse, in order to cover for their policy failures they are becoming authoritarian and censorial. All of this leads to civilization decline. You are going to have to be very rich to safeguard yourself from the effects of societal collapse. Is that the plan?

Yes. The end game is communism. They believe the entire system, ENTIRE system, is fundamentally bad. So, if the entire system is bad, you must get rid of it. You must do it by tearing down all norms and rebuilding in their likeness. So, what does their likeness look like exactly?

Communism. That's the end goal. They all think they'll be at the top of the food chain when it occurs.

Yep, these are the people who communism calls useful idiots. There are all kinds of examples throughout history of what happens to the useful idiots.

Sure, you may not be to get food and medicine in San Fran, but at least the city council passed a resolution to demand a cease fire in Gaza. The useful idiot voters in San Francisco should be celebrating.

Another luxury leftist belief that disproportionately impacts marginalized communities is gun control. High taxes, training mandates, permit fees (and permits on their own), magazine capacity limits, concealed carry restrictions, and carry bans writ large all have a deleterious effect on lower SES people being able to defend themselves against the same criminals who refuse to follow the law.

Only those of the highest privilege - who have private security and gates on their neighborhoods - and who have never encountered actual violence can say with a straight face that they endorse such restrictions as "common" sense. In reality they are nonsense.

Excellent post Adam.

“Crime typically becomes a topic of concern when it bleeds over into the places where people least expect it to occur. This is the only time when elitists in government will suddenly reconvene to discuss a crime problem: it was always a problem, it just didn't affect them.”

No better example than in the aftermath of Jan. 6. High tech security structures were erected around the building and the Capitol Police budget ballooned to a staggering degree. But to the communities devastated by rioting months before Jan. 6th, there was no assistance, no police budget increases because “this is the price of progress”. Words uttered from the secure confines of gated communities.

Going easy on us is no different than when your boss tells you how to do your job when he's never done your job. People on the outside looking in think they have a handle on us but that's just the arrogance from looking down from on high. Sending us back where The Game welcomes us home while a minimum wage job would like to run a background check is just telling us to do what we've always down. That life can dehabilitate the rehabilitated faster than y'all nervously lock your car door in the hood.

Truth! Preach it brother Adam. "The ability to think when practicing either of those (ideology and partisanship) is incredibly difficult." Well said. I am going to lift that and put it in my kitbag. I promise to properly attribute it to you when I use it. Its simple yet correct and absolutely true. Ideology and partisanship inhibit proper brain function. I love it. Whatever happened to Americans just coming together and finding common sense solutions for problems, which I believe is "the American way."

We all know that the left created this but I see so much apathy among conservatives, who just don't vote at all, or just up and move and run away from "problems" but just bring them to wherever they go. They don't want to burn the calories to do anything other than complain online, then they blanket shame people for "voting" for this in comments sections. How do they know how people vote? If they want people to start to see their side to it then maybe they should act like they should be taken seriously once in a while, they don't, they play into the hands of the left constantly.

Adam - another big hit in a long hot streak of hits. Sometimes I read what you've written and it's as if you've been reading my mind and as if common sense is somehow still alive. I'll be 64 on 3 March and your writing in general and specifically today would have been regarded entirely as an expression of common sense when I grew up in the 60's and 70's. That's 1960's and 1970's, hahaha.

My concern is that common sense isn't so common any more and, even when people can see and understand the correctness of such common sense, they then fail to take action at the ballot box that puts leaders into office who will follow that common sense when they are elected. How does one teach common sense to people and then get them to vote for common sense leaders? People seem to be unable to connect their behavior in the voting booth with what happens in their communities. All those people you mentioned...local political officials, district attorneys, judges, sheriff's, etc....are elected by the same people who then fall victim to the wacko lefty ideas of those they elected. Why can't people break out of that cycle? A question for the ages...or at least this age.

Great minds think alike ;)

Common sense has been replaced by ideology and partisanship. The ability to think when practicing either of those is incredibly difficult.

These events are not new, just seem more amplified these days. We see interviews of disgruntled blacks who are mad at their black mayor, but when it comes time for re-election will they change their vote or believe the "promises" the democrats will offer? Will they believe the words of Crump, Sharpton, and Jackson so "we don't lose the ground we have gained"? In the spite of all the evidence showing they don't care about you, will blacks continue to support the party that does nothing for them every election cycle. What choice do you have when Biden is saying Trump and the Republican party don't care about you.

Meanwhile, Pelosi, Newsom and the mayor of San Francisco have their groceries delivered to them by their people, paid for with tax payer dollars. Or they dine in restaurants you don't even know exist. Even if see people pissing on their streets they don't care as their delicate feet rarely touch anything as common as the street. When BLM was at it's prime in 2020, they burnt down a store in my sister's Chicago neighborhood that serviced this same sort of community. Now folks have to catch a bus or taxi to go elsewhere to shop, but hey it's all about defeating the oppressor.
