Excellent article. The satanist clowns put their decoration there to troll. They have four "holidays" according to their website, none of which falls on Christmas/Hanukkah. But they do have one on Halloween. I say let them do the Halloween decorations for city hall and save the taxpayers some $.

Thank you for taking the time to research and write it. You state what I think but you are much nicer than me, and more effective too! I did like my idea about Halloween decorating.

Describing Satanists as “trolls” is perfect. Their sole purpose is to create discomfort and get a reaction. And they sadistically take great pleasure in that discomfort. They do not actually believe that Satan exists, as you point out, because to do so they would also have to acknowledge the existence of God, which they certainly don’t want to do. Obviously jerks with too much time on their hands. Society is full of such trolls.

Exactly. Acknowledging Satan's existence would mean acknowledging God's existence.

They are the worst kind of trolls.

You have to distinguish between Satanists and Luciferians. And actually people Like Anton *I'm a fraud* LaVey are BOTH. They are outwardly Satanists trolling Jews and Christians. But why do they love trolling Jews and Christians so much? Because inwardly they are Gnostic Luciferierians. Which is why they do believe Jehovah exists and even believe he created the earth, but they absolutely hate him. Cause as opposed to Satanists, Luciferians actually aren't atheists and they do believe in a god and in a devil - it's just that to them Lucifer is the "good" entity and Jehovah is the evil entity.

I profoundly disagree with your viewpoint. I think that you should speak to a theologian who is also a Christian. If one believes in the God that we know in the Bible, then that person also believes in the person of Satan, who was an angel who rebelled against God. Satan is real, and Satan has power. Satan met with Christ and attempted to give him things that he had the power to give him, as God has allowed Satan to reign here on earth until the final reckoning, where Satan is thrown into the abyss. I realize that to many people this sounds like crazy mumbo jumbo. It would have to me, before I became a Christian, and began to read and study God’s Word. So, while some “satanists” might be atheists using Satan as a figurehead, to others, he is his REAL, and these people call upon him and his (limited) power.

Mary Anne,

By your response, I can't tell if you read the entirety of my article or if you read the headline only.

The theologian that I sourced for this article is a Christian. I don't understand why that part matters or not in the topic of the Temple of Satan or their theological professionalism.

You're making arguments against things I wasn't stating in the article, which makes me believe you didn't read the article. At no point do I say Satan isn't real.

I read your article a few times, first on Epoch Times and then on Speaking right, and then re-read it. When I just re-read and see that you were referring to one subset of so-called Satanists, I see your logic. Indeed, this groups main focus is to infuriate Christians. However, until I did the deeper dive on this organization, that nuance was not completely clear to me. Thanks for all the good material, and for actually taking the time to reply.
